Our B&B in a Grade II Georgian house is in the centre of Ludlow, just a short stroll from restaurants, the castle, brewery and market place. We have taken care of the details so you can enjoy every moment of your stay in Ludlow starting with free parking in our gated car park.
Our comfortable and tastefully decorated rooms have luxurious bedding and generous sized en suites.
We can also offer a self catering apartment with it’s own kitchen/diner with breakfast provided within the B&B.
Three guest rooms and the breakfast room are in the main building with two guest rooms in the attached cottage at the rear.
Our name Hen & Chickens is thought to have come from the name given to the bottles ale was sold in; a hen being the larger, and chicken, the smaller.
Our B&B was built as a pub in about 1820, making it part of Ludlows rich heritage. Later, in 1999, it was converted into a guest house and has been a popular place to stay in Ludlow since, often featured in national press.
In this large building there are three en-suite bedrooms and the breakfast room. At the rear, there is a separate cottage with two en-suite bedrooms, and a kitchen diner which is available if you’d like the option to have self catering as well enjoying breakfast prepared for you in the main house.
