wild conTENTment

An eco-friendly campsite offering 10 large pitches with bell-tents and luxurious and quirky en-suite bathrooms available right on the border where England meets Wales.

Whether its a family camping trip, re-union, celebration or travelling solo, wildconTENTment can accommodate all of those needs. We are essentially offering a large(11 acres) camping  field offering only 6 pitches for a paired back close to nature experience where you can get away from it all. For those who want a little extra luxury we have 2 Bell tents for hire including luxury linens and duvets. Private bathrooms you can hire in the form of Beryl bathrooms (converted rice horse trailers) which come complete with hot water, flushing loo, copper roll top bath, luxury toiletries and outdoor sink and undercover outdoor area. If a private bathroom is a little OTT for you, pitches come with compost loo, camp fire and running water. Meal boxes can also be hired. We are dog friendly and allow camp fires (Kadai firebowls can also be hired for those wishing to cook up a storm). There is a small shop selling all the essentials a 5 min walk from the site and 3 pubs are within walking distance

As well as just enjoying the walking, nature reserve and Llanymynech Heritage area there is lots to do locally and no matter what your interests we can provide somebody to help:  rock-climbing/bushcraft/foraging guide/ Yoga/Pilates.

Local activities include kayaking, SUP, Chester Zoo, Park Hall, Quad Trekking, Mountain biking, horse-riding, barge days.

"🏰✨ Dive into the heart of Shrewsbury's Castle Quarter – the epicenter of history and grandeur! 🏰 Home to four of the town's largest historic treasures – Shrewsbury Castle, Library, Prison, and Train Station.

Did you know Shrewsbury Castle's foundations were laid in 1083 by the 1st Earl of Shrewsbury, Roger de Montgomery?
Montgomery, a cousin of William the Conqueror, earned this castle and more as a thank-you for his aid during the Norman conquest.

From royal stronghold to a 16th-century transformation, Shrewsbury Castle has quite the story. Now, it stands majestically, housing the Shropshire Regimental Museum. 👑🏰 Ready to step into the pages of history?
