Little Springs Farm Cottage

A haven of peace and tranquility, a get-away-from-it-all retreat set in beautiful countryside with stunning views over Wenlock Edge. Perfect for a romantic break or as a base for walking and exploring. Close to the ancient market towns of Much Wenlock and Shrewsbury, and just 1½ hours West of Birmingham. For an idea of our fantastic location, take a look at our 3-minute YouTube video here

The stone Cottage is a detached, single-storey former barn and is situated at the end of a long driveway, 50 yards from the owners’ house.
The Cottage has a comfortable sitting/dining room with oak flooring, a beamed vaulted ceiling, exposed original stonework and a feature Clearview wood burning stove for the cooler months. There is a Smart TV with DVD/CD player, a table-for-two and a large sofa. There is free Wi-Fi,  a selection of books and DVDs, and an array of leaflets, maps and guides with information on local attractions.
An archway leads through to a fitted, fully equipped kitchen with full-sized LPG cooker, dishwasher and under-counter fridge with freezer compartment, together with a microwave, kettle and toaster.
A door from the living room opens into a light and airy double bedroom, with a further door leading into the shower room, with a white suite of WC, vanity basin and large shower.
The cottage also offers a secluded and private paved courtyard to the front, with extensive views over Wenlock Edge, a patio table and chairs, and a gas barbecue. The patio is enclosed which, as we are pet-friendly, makes it safe for dogs. There is private parking opposite. The rental cost of the cottage includes bed linen, towels, electricity, central heating and a generous supply of kindling and logs for the wood burner (further logs can be purchased at cost price).
On arrival, you will find a Welcome Pack of milk, bread and a box of eggs laid by our own free-range chickens, together with initial supplies of tea, coffee and sugar, and household items such as kitchen roll, loo rolls, cling film, foil, washing-up liquid, etc.

We are pet-friendly, and welcome a maximum of TWO well-behaved dogs at Little Springs Farm by prior arrangement – please enquire at time of booking.

"🏰✨ Dive into the heart of Shrewsbury's Castle Quarter – the epicenter of history and grandeur! 🏰 Home to four of the town's largest historic treasures – Shrewsbury Castle, Library, Prison, and Train Station.

Did you know Shrewsbury Castle's foundations were laid in 1083 by the 1st Earl of Shrewsbury, Roger de Montgomery?
Montgomery, a cousin of William the Conqueror, earned this castle and more as a thank-you for his aid during the Norman conquest.

From royal stronghold to a 16th-century transformation, Shrewsbury Castle has quite the story. Now, it stands majestically, housing the Shropshire Regimental Museum. 👑🏰 Ready to step into the pages of history?
