Attingham Park

Rural Shropshire comes into its own in autumn and one of its most seasonal must-sees is Attingham Park: This vast 18th-century estate includes acres of beautiful parkland ablaze with autumn colours.  Spot the pumpkins  in the walled kitchen gardens then wander onto the heritage -variety apple orchard (there are 37 types) before exploring the 200 acres parklands – including the deer park where the resident fallow deer, rut, bellow and feast on acorns and conkers.  Seasonal family fun includes a Tree-mendous Trail for young nature explorers, and Woollen Woods where families can spot knitted creatures amid the trees. Attingham’s Field of Play is another draw so too the series of downloadable autumn walk suggestions which take in estate’s many trees and their changing autumnal hues. https://www.nationaltrust.org.uk/attingham-park.

Entry is free for National Trust members and under 5yrs. Non-member pricing £15 per adult, £7.50 children, £37.50 family ticket.
