Situated at the top of Bailey Street near Oswestry Market Square, Fat Rabbit is the perfect spot for coffee breaks and satisfying lunches in the heart of the town. People-watch during a bustling market day, cozy up on the inside nook tables, or enjoy our lush, sun-dappled decked garden.

We offer a range of vibrant dishes. And that’s not even getting to our fabulous homemade cakes!

As an entirely plant-based establishment, we are always prioritizing the environmental sustainability of our offerings, from our choice of bio-degradable packaging to our choice of ingredients. Working with local producers and suppliers is at the heart of what we do at Fat Rabbit, from the wonderful veg produced by Good Pickings market garden, to our artisan coffee roasted at the Ludlow-based Hundred House Coffee Co. Our walls are often adorned with work by talented local artists.

We are dog-friendly, family-friendly, and cater to a wide range of dietary requirements. So, come along and discover our warm and welcoming market town café!

"🏰✨ Dive into the heart of Shrewsbury's Castle Quarter – the epicenter of history and grandeur! 🏰 Home to four of the town's largest historic treasures – Shrewsbury Castle, Library, Prison, and Train Station.

Did you know Shrewsbury Castle's foundations were laid in 1083 by the 1st Earl of Shrewsbury, Roger de Montgomery?
Montgomery, a cousin of William the Conqueror, earned this castle and more as a thank-you for his aid during the Norman conquest.

From royal stronghold to a 16th-century transformation, Shrewsbury Castle has quite the story. Now, it stands majestically, housing the Shropshire Regimental Museum. 👑🏰 Ready to step into the pages of history?
