Shrewsbury boasts many buildings and locations that were the backdrop to many pivotal moments in Charles Darwin’s early life. His story is written on the town’s walls and cobbled streets, (if you know where to look).

This year is the 20th anniversary of the DarwIN Shrewsbury festival, which runs from 5th – 12th February 2023 with an exciting programme of over 30 events across Shrewsbury celebrating Charles Darwin.
