The Midsummer Fayre is an annual fire-eating, foot-tapping, feel-good spectacular that fills the centre of Wellington with food and craft stalls, music, dancing and colourful costumes. The event is inspired by the ancient June fayres first sanctioned in the town’s 1244 market charter and the costumed processions of the 1770s. Organised by Wellington H2A and All Saints Church, it is funded with support from Wellington Town Council and local businesses.
