An educational and engaging workshop where you’ll explore planning the summer garden.
You’ll take a guided tour to appreciate the diversity of garden styles, followed by a hands-on session focusing on the maintenance of their herbaceous borders. You’ll learn techniques such as staking, tying, and the renowned Chelsea chop, along with sowing late-flowering annuals and taking cuttings from late-summer perennials like salvias.
In the vegetable garden, Sarah (kitchen gardener) will guide you through preparing seed beds, direct sowing, and planting techniques for crops like brassicas, which require specific ground preparation. Plus, you’ll have the chance to pot up a plant to take home with you. Don’t miss this opportunity to enhance your gardening skills!
