Wed 23 April 2025 The Lawley & Love2Stay Cold Water Swim/Hot Tub Session | Shropshire | 6.5km | All Welcome!

Celebrate St. George’s Day with a morning hike up one of Shropshire’s most striking hills—The Lawley—followed by a refreshing cold water swim and hot tub chill at the fabulous Love2Stay in Shrewsbury.

🥾 The Hike

This 2-hour out-and-back hike takes us along the elegant spine of The Lawley—a sleek, slender ridge that rises from the Stretton Valley like something out of a fantasy film. Often overlooked in favour of its flashier neighbours (looking at you, Caer Caradoc), The Lawley might just be Shropshire’s best-kept secret. But not for long…

We’ll wind our way over a series of false summits (those cheeky little teases), each one gifting us better and better views—across the Long Mynd, over to the Berwyn Mountains, and even back to The Wrekin, which sticks out like a wannabe volcano on the horizon.

It’s a manageable hike with a gentle ascent, perfect for beginners or anyone who fancies a scenic start to their St. George’s Day.

Expect:

  • Highland cows and Herdwick sheep (yep, you read that right)

  • Huge skies and photo-worthy views

  • A bit of a thigh burn on the last push (you’ve got this!)

💦 Swim & Soak at Love2Stay

After the hike, you’re invited to Love2Stay Shrewsbury—a dreamy outdoor wellness centre—for a dip in the cold water pools followed by a blissful hot tub session. Perfect for soothing your muscles and making you feel like you’ve earned a knight’s knighthood (or at least a really good lunch).

You’ll have time to change and get comfy before diving into the revitalising goodness.

Why Join?
