Route Highlights

Carding Mill Valley – Follow the stony track alongside the stream, a peaceful start to the hike.

Lightspout Hollow & Waterfall – Venture into a narrow, steep-sided valley leading to Lightspout Waterfall. Scramble up alongside the waterfall for a fun challenge, or take the main path for a gentler ascent.

Pole Bank Summit – Enjoy breathtaking views from the highest point of Long Mynd at 517m, overlooking the Shropshire Hills and the valleys of Wales.

The Burway – Descend the iconic hill with its sweeping panoramas, heading back towards Carding Mill Valley.
Optional: Join us for a drink or lunch at a local pub after the hike for a chance to socialise!
