The Wonderful World of Ladybird Book Artists

LAST CHANCE TO VISIT – Ends Sunday 5th June!!

Step back in time amid this extensive collection of vintage Ladybird books, original artwork and objects. Enjoy a nostalgic journey through 30 years of illustration which uncovers the stories of the many talented artists who illustrated these iconic books.

Artwork which brought life to a wealth of subjects from classic fairy tales and nursery rhymes to ‘how it works, is itself brought to life, as children can ‘Step inside a Painting’ in our installation and explore their imaginations’. Come and find your most memorable Ladybird book and learn more about Helen Day’s collection from pre-war to 1975.

 

Open Monday to Saturday 10am – 5pm – open Sundays 11am – 4pm.
