This Halloween our curators will host a series of talks over one week exploring the horrible history of Halloween.

28 October – Rhymes and Reasons: The Macabre Meanings and Awful Origins of Popular Nursery Rhymes

29 October – Ashes to Ashes, Dust to Dust: Death, Remembrance and Ceramics

30 October – Beyond the Veil: Séances and Spiritualism in the Victorian Era

31 October – Witches of Wenlock: Witchcraft and Folklore in the East Shropshire Coalfield

Timings: Doors open at 6pm before the talk begins at 6:30pm. The talk will finish at 7:30pm before the event comes to a close at 8pm.

Location: Glass Classroom, Coalbrookdale

Tickets cost £5 per person.
