Want to learn to write punchy dialogue, create appealing characters, and craft relatable storylines to get the stories in your head down on paper?
If so, we have the perfect course for you!

Whether you’re a novice writer or an experienced scribbler, this course will help you hone your unique perspective and give your writing structure, clarity, and interest.

Through diverse writing tasks, you will explore a range of literary techniques, including genre, character development, realistic dialogue, plot, and editing skills.

All in a fun, relaxed environment with plenty of support and advice. And a healthy dose of mindset work as well, to help you understand your readers better, and overcome setbacks and obstacles along the way. All you need is a pen and paper, access to the internet, and a desire to learn and share.

Next term the writing course will run for 8 weeks, commencing 11th September 2024
Wednesdays 10:00am – 12:30pm
Wednesday 6:00pm – 8:30pm
​COURSE FEE £180.

  • Point of View – who is telling the story?
  • Setting the scene with descriptive language
  • Creating juicy characters
  • Writing realistic dialogue
  • Beginnings and endings
  • Knowing your reader
  • Editing
  • Overcoming writer’s block, lack of confidence, and other setbacks
  • And more!

Each session will have at least one writing exercise and an optional 2-3 page homework assignment.
