Stonehouse Brewery & Henstone Distillery

Come visit us at Stonehouse Brewery & Henstone Distillery!

Our bar & shop are open 7 days a week for you to enjoy a drink and take away some beers, cider or spirits. Our bar is lovely and cosy with a wood burner for when it’s cold. A large viewing window lets you take a peek into the brewery and distillery and watch us in action on brewing days. For those warmer days we have plenty of seating among our cider apple trees in our pretty orchard, where you can enjoy sampling from our range of drinks produced on site.

We produce a variety of beers, from rich porters or easy drinking session bitters to crisp refreshing pilsners and hazy, juicy IPA’s. We press our own Sweeney Mountain Ciders and also have Henstone Distillery whisky, gins, and other spirits. As well as the craft drinks brewed, pressed and distilled on site, we also offer wine, cocktails and soft drinks.

We also offer great food from our Beer & BBQ menu, which includes our legendary burgers, pizzas and BBQ and seafood specials.

Dogs and children are very welcome. A trip to Oswestry is not complete until you’ve visited us!

"🏰✨ Dive into the heart of Shrewsbury's Castle Quarter – the epicenter of history and grandeur! 🏰 Home to four of the town's largest historic treasures – Shrewsbury Castle, Library, Prison, and Train Station.

Did you know Shrewsbury Castle's foundations were laid in 1083 by the 1st Earl of Shrewsbury, Roger de Montgomery?
Montgomery, a cousin of William the Conqueror, earned this castle and more as a thank-you for his aid during the Norman conquest.

From royal stronghold to a 16th-century transformation, Shrewsbury Castle has quite the story. Now, it stands majestically, housing the Shropshire Regimental Museum. 👑🏰 Ready to step into the pages of history?
