Great Hagley Holiday Accommodation with Activities

A small country estate nestled in an area of outstanding natural beauty in the South Shropshire countryside.

The Estate offers many activities so you don’t have to drive anywhere to enjoy an action-packed day during your stay. Come soar with us on one of England’s longest zip lines through the stunning South Shropshire countryside and have a go on our Tiger Challenge Course, a low ropes adventure course with 20 interconnected activities, extending to 480 meters through woodland at a height of 30 – 90 cms off the ground.

The Estate has The Bunkhouse that sleeps 20 and is available to rent for long weekends or week-long holidays.  It is equipped with a brand new kitchen, four bedrooms and three shower rooms.  We can provide in-house catering and organise activities on your behalf.

The Estate is a walker’s paradise. There are private paths round the three pools and through 80 acres of ancient woodland. Beyond this there are footpaths from the estate that lead to either Hopton Woods or Bucknell Woods, both owned by the Forestry Commission.

Bike from your door – Hopton Woods trails are some of the best in the UK and with the woods less than half a km away you couldn’t be better placed to ride and explore these brilliant trails.

"🏰✨ Dive into the heart of Shrewsbury's Castle Quarter – the epicenter of history and grandeur! 🏰 Home to four of the town's largest historic treasures – Shrewsbury Castle, Library, Prison, and Train Station.

Did you know Shrewsbury Castle's foundations were laid in 1083 by the 1st Earl of Shrewsbury, Roger de Montgomery?
Montgomery, a cousin of William the Conqueror, earned this castle and more as a thank-you for his aid during the Norman conquest.

From royal stronghold to a 16th-century transformation, Shrewsbury Castle has quite the story. Now, it stands majestically, housing the Shropshire Regimental Museum. 👑🏰 Ready to step into the pages of history?
