Take a break and unwind at this peaceful ….. Richards Castle is on the border of Shropshire and Herefordshire, close enough to the market town of Ludlow to enjoy the lively community feel, busy markets, events and festivals that are held throughout the year. But set surrounded by the beautiful countryside of south Shropshire and the Welsh Marches. It is an excellent base for walking, cycling, as well as exploring the rest of Shropshire. Downstairs you come into the cottage via the open-plan conservatory/kitchen. This is a great space to sit, relax and take in the views. Through to the lounge for the colder months, we have a log burner, which you are welcome to use.

The bathroom is downstairs with a shower over the bath.

Upstairs there are two small double bedrooms.

There is an enclosed garden to enjoy in the warmer months.

From the property, there are many walks including the Shropshire Way and cycle routes to enjoy. We are also within easy reach of National Trust Parks including Croft Castle and Parkland and Berrington Hall.

Other things to note
The house is small but is set in such a peaceful, beautiful location.

Did you know Shrewsbury Castle's foundations were laid in 1083 by the 1st Earl of Shrewsbury, Roger de Montgomery?
Montgomery, a cousin of William the Conqueror, earned this castle and more as a thank-you for his aid during the Norman conquest.

From royal stronghold to a 16th-century transformation, Shrewsbury Castle has quite the story. Now, it stands majestically, housing the Shropshire Regimental Museum. 👑🏰 Ready to step into the pages of history?
