The Great Escape Company

We are an outdoor adventure company based on the Great Hagley Estate in the beautiful South Shropshire Hills. A fabulous venue for birthday parties, stag and hen activities, corporate events, school outings, tourist groups and family get togethers.

Come and soar with us at The Great Escape on one of England’s longest zip lines. Embark on The Great Escape’s newest activity, the Black Hawk Zip Line will take you on an exhilarating ride through some of the most breathtaking scenery England has to offer.

Ride the 520m zip line, take off 1450 feet above sea level with 360 panoramic views.

Combine The Black Hawk Zip Line with The Tiger Challenge Course for the ultimate family activity.

The Tiger Challenge Course is a low ropes adventure course extending 480 meters (equivalent to the length of three Rugby pitches) through woodland at a height 30 – 90 cms above the ground. Nestled beneath the canopy of our Great Escape forest and featuring 20 interconnected activities, constructed entirely from environmentally sustainable timber.

We take bookings on the zip line and challenge course for groups of 5 or more, but if your group is smaller please do get in touch as we can always add you in with another group.

The Great Escape team are highly trained and welcoming to ensure you have the best possible experience while you are with us.  We look forward to welcoming you soon.

"🏰✨ Dive into the heart of Shrewsbury's Castle Quarter – the epicenter of history and grandeur! 🏰 Home to four of the town's largest historic treasures – Shrewsbury Castle, Library, Prison, and Train Station.

Did you know Shrewsbury Castle's foundations were laid in 1083 by the 1st Earl of Shrewsbury, Roger de Montgomery?
Montgomery, a cousin of William the Conqueror, earned this castle and more as a thank-you for his aid during the Norman conquest.

From royal stronghold to a 16th-century transformation, Shrewsbury Castle has quite the story. Now, it stands majestically, housing the Shropshire Regimental Museum. 👑🏰 Ready to step into the pages of history?
