Oakpond Cottages

Oakpond Cottage is a beautiful Gold award winning home from home, dog friendly cottage sitting in a idylic position infront of a wonderful wildlife pond which is home to a lot of wildlife.  The cottage is perfect for couples and families and will sleep 6 people (we do have a reduced occupancy rate for couples and smaller families)

Oaktree Cottage is our other award winning cottage and is very spacious and has a large balcony which overlooks the wildlife pond and surrounding Shropshire countryside. This cottage sleeps 2 and is perfect for couples or can be booked with Oakpond for the larger family.

Both these cottages are situated in private and peaceful  surroundings and so perfect for relaxation. There is an option of hiring our very relaxing indoor hot tub which is perfect after a good days walking or visiting. Guests are most welcome to walk down to our farm and meet our animals.

Oakwood is our country detached dog friendly bungalow but this property is situated in the very quiet village of Ightfield in a peaceful location with no passing traffic. The large garden has high fencing and so safe and secure for children and dogs. There are walks from the door onto the Shropshire Way and to our local dog friendly pub The Olde Jack Inn. This cottage is spacious with a woodburner and sleeps 4 people.

Our three home from home cottages are based on the Cheshire/Shropshire border and so perfect for visiting attractions and gardens in Cheshire, Staffordshire, Wales and Shropshire.  There are a number of places to visit within 20 minutes  therefore not much driving whilst staying in our cottages.  The local town of Whitchurch is a 10 minute drive away which has 3 large supermarkets whilst Audlem is a lovely canalside village with tearooms and shops.

Mark and Bev are on hand if there are any problems and bookings are direct through us and so no booking fees.

Please read our 5 star reviews on our facebook and google pages with what our guests have to say.

"🏰✨ Dive into the heart of Shrewsbury's Castle Quarter – the epicenter of history and grandeur! 🏰 Home to four of the town's largest historic treasures – Shrewsbury Castle, Library, Prison, and Train Station.

Did you know Shrewsbury Castle's foundations were laid in 1083 by the 1st Earl of Shrewsbury, Roger de Montgomery?
Montgomery, a cousin of William the Conqueror, earned this castle and more as a thank-you for his aid during the Norman conquest.

From royal stronghold to a 16th-century transformation, Shrewsbury Castle has quite the story. Now, it stands majestically, housing the Shropshire Regimental Museum. 👑🏰 Ready to step into the pages of history?
