The film was based on Mary Webb’s 1917 novel and was shot in Shropshire at locations including: Much Wenlock, Longner Hall, Uffington, Eyton on Severn, Snailbeach, Stiperstones and Pontesford Hill.
This screening is a rare opportunity to see this film and to hear the story behind its making. The film will be introduced by Ian Christie, Ian is a Professor of Film History at Birkbeck College, University of London.

Film introduction at 7.30pm.

Film starts at 8pm.

£5.50 per adult, £3.50 per child, £16 per family. Booking essential.

Shropshire Fidget Pie or Cheese and Potato pie served with potato dish of the day and seasonal vegetables 6.30pm. Pre-booking advised.
