Plants and People, Past and Future

Sat 18 July 2026 Plants and People, Past and Future

1:30 pm – 3:30 pm

Celebrate the Festival of Archaeology with local archaeologist Natasha Harlow in this hands-on workshop exploring our enduring relationship with plants — from early hunter-gatherers to mod-ern plant-based medicine. Enjoy a guided tour of the museum collection and learn how to make string from plant fibres.

This gentle, creative session invites you to explore how archaeology and nature are deeply connected, revealing how people and landscapes have shaped each other over time — and continue to do so today.

Suitable for adults and children (11+)£15 per person

Tickets must be booked in advance via the Museum’s website Plants and People, Past and Future – Shropshire Museums
