Shrewsbury Museum is bringing the taste of summer to the town centre with the launch of its relaxed and sociable Summer Sizzle BBQs, set in the museum’s courtyard.
The BBQ Grill & Chill will take place on Saturday 4 and Saturday 11 July 2026, from 12.00pm to 3.00pm; inviting visitors to drop in, unwind and enjoy a freshly prepared barbecue in a unique heritage setting.
Perfect for families, friends and anyone looking to make the most of the warmer months, the event offers a laid-back atmosphere with good food, great company and the sound system playing a great summer soundtrack. All creating the perfect back drop.
Guests can load their plates with a generous menu of freshly grilled dishes, including sweet chilli fajita, chicken skewers, marinated spiced lamb skewers, rump steak, cheeseburgers and chicken wings served with either blue cheese hot sauce or sweet chill. And for the vegetarians there are halloumi and vegetable skewers, ensuring there is something for everyone.
Complementing the main grill, diners can help themselves to an unlimited Mediterranean pasta salad and classic mixed salad, adding fresh and vibrant flavours to the experience.
A full range of drinks will be available from the café, including Peroni, Shropshire Gold ale, wines, margaritas, milkshakes and smoothies, making it easy to sit back and enjoy a leisurely afternoon.
Tickets can be purchased on the day at £20 per adult and £10 for children, offering great value for a summer dining experience in one of Shrewsbury’s most distinctive venues. Drop in, enjoy the atmosphere, and soak up the seasonal flavours.
