Spend some time around the market square, stroll towards Ludlow Castle and take the footpath along the River Teme before heading back into town. You’ll cover plenty of ground without ever feeling like you’re rushing.

Ludlow’s reputation for food is well deserved.
A stop at Harp Lane Deli is almost compulsory, whether that’s for breakfast, lunch or simply picking up something delicious to take back to the house. It’s one of those places that locals recommend for good reason.
If you’re planning a relaxed evening back at your accommodation, it’s also worth calling into Ludlow Farmshop. Stock up on local cheeses, fresh bread, meats, cakes and something nice to drink, and you’ve got everything you need for a long evening around the table together.
Raise a Glass
If your group enjoys discovering local producers, Ludlow has plenty to offer.
Take a tour at Ludlow Brewery to learn about the brewing process before sampling a few of their beers in the taproom. It’s relaxed, friendly and a great way to spend an hour or two.
Prefer gin? Ludlow Distillery has built a loyal following thanks to its small-batch spirits inspired by the surrounding countryside. A tasting is an easy addition to the weekend and gives everyone something a little different to enjoy.
A Weekend That Doesn’t Need Filling Every Minute
One of the nicest things about Ludlow is that it never feels like it demands your attention.
You can spend an hour browsing bookshops, sit outside with a coffee watching the town go by or wander into whichever pub looks welcoming. There’s no pressure to see everything, and that’s part of the appeal.
For groups especially, that slower pace works well. People can peel off and explore for a while before meeting back together later, without anyone feeling like they’ve missed out.
