Book Bed & Breakfast accommodation for your group of up to 15 adults; staying in en suite rooms with 2 pubs in walking distance. Exclusive use available.

As an alternative to self-catering accommodation for groups staying in Shropshire, Mynd House is delighted to offer bed & breakfast for up to 15 guests.

Whether you’re seeking a base for hiking; group accommodation for a wedding; somewhere to stay for a corporate gathering; or you need space to celebrate a special occasion with family and friends; at Mynd House we have eight en suite rooms that can sleep up to 15 guests, with exclusive use available. Owners Liz and Jeff ensure all who walk through the door of their B&B feel a sense of togetherness, while maintaining the comfort of private quarters. For groups, that means that unlike self-catering, where responsibilities like meal preparation and cleanup fall on someone in the party, Mynd House B&B is hassle-free; with daily, hearty breakfasts served, and two popular pubs within a 5-minute walk for evening meals.

This allows your group to focus on bonding and exploring the beautiful Shropshire surroundings without the logistical concerns of self-catering, making it an ideal choice for a memorable and stress-free group getaway.

Group Bookings

Our eight bedrooms at Mynd House in the Shropshire Hills offer a variety of spaces to suit the needs of your party; one suite, two twin rooms, four double bedrooms and a single bedroom.

Our rooms are named after local landmarks, and all but one offer hill views. Seven of the rooms can sleep two guests, and one is spacious for a solo traveller. All boast their own bathroom with free toiletries, a full set of towels to use during your stay, and a heated towel rail, and we have one suite featuring a spa bath, and another a separate roll-top bath and walk-in shower.

Groups have the flexibility of booking just a few rooms, or exclusive use of Mynd House…

Exclusive Use

What could be better than having all the space and privacy of your own group accommodation, but with sole use of an honesty bar, and being served a delicious daily breakfast to boot?!

At Mynd House we offer an option for groups who don’t want to self-cater thanks to our sole use package. That means your group will have exclusive access to our B&B in an Area Of Outstanding Natural Beauty, including: eight individually designed, en suite bedrooms; communal spaces that feature a large lounge with a roaring log fire and board games, and an honesty bar; and a storage room for your bicycles and hiking/walking gear.

What’s Included?

Booking our bed and breakfast group accommodation over self-catering is also exceptionally good value, as there is plenty included on top of your own private, en suite rooms:

· Complimentary refreshments – in each bedroom there is a variety of tea, coffee, sugar, water, fresh milk and biscuits which are replenished daily.

· Daily breakfast – there’ll be no arguing over who has to get up and make a fry-up for your group, or whose turn it is to load the dishwasher! Our hearty full English breakfast is served between 8.30am and 9.30am, with dietary requirements catered for and lighter options available. What’s more, all breakfast produce is sourced within a 15-mile radius of our village.

· Store room access – we have a separate ground-floor room where your group can securely store bicycles, and outdoor boots and clothing.

· Honesty bar – there’s no worrying about who owes who, as our honesty bar means everyone can pay for their own drinks as they go.

· In-room amenities – every en suite has a full set of towels, bathrobes, and complimentary toiletries, and there is a mini-fridge, television, hairdryer and free Wi-Fi.

Why choose Mynd House for your group?

What makes a stay with us so special is that we include the details you simply wouldn’t get when choosing self-catering accommodation in Shropshire.

For starters there is the food and drink. Not only do we offer in-room hot drinks and a delicious breakfast each morning, but we can also provide packed lunches for your group for a small extra cost; ideal if you’re heading off for a walk or cycle. Our packed lunch menu offers a selection of sandwiches to pick from, and you’ll get a bottle of water, crisps, sweet treat, yoghurt and fruit. We’ll even fill your flask for you!

Shropshire is famed for its wealth of traditional English pubs, and we’re very lucky to have two within a five minute walk of our Bed & Breakfast. The Ragleth Inn is just two minutes walk away, and has a private room you can pre-book. Just a little further into the village is the Green Dragon, where we’d recommend sitting on the beer garden’s raised deck with a drink from the outside bar and hill views.

For a pre-dinner drink we’re home to The Bar On The Hill; a cosy honesty bar which is open at Mynd House daily.

Many groups who stay at Mynd House come for some of the best Shropshire walking trails on our doorstep. But we’re also great for cycling group accommodation near Church Stretton, and our county’s famous food festival at Ludlow draws gastronomes from across the UK every year.

Reviews from groups…

A few kind words from groups who have stayed at our Shropshire B&B:

“We were a group of cyclists, staying overnight in Little Stretton. Liz welcomed us, stored our bikes in a locked room and showed us to four excellent rooms. The service was superb, the choice at breakfast was excellent and the cooking lovely. Two pubs close by. We visited the Green Dragon and the food and drink was good. Highly recommended B&B.”

“A wonderful stay. We were a large group taking up five rooms and every room was amazing. The beds were the BEST! Such welcome hosts, great breakfast and love the bar area!”

“A group four-day walking holiday. A clean, comfortable, efficient and welcoming B&B. It is well located with adequate parking and appropriate facilities for guests.”

“Our daughter’s wedding. We had booked six bedrooms for all my family… We all enjoyed a wonderful stay at Mynd House. It was wonderful to be all together in one place.”

“A group booking for 12 friends having a few days of walking. Perfect – a lovely B&B – we had sole occupancy of the whole house. We loved everything!”

“A family booking of 14, a wonderful stay surrounded by beautiful views. You are surrounded by beautiful scenery and walks. The B&B is inviting, and the owners are extremely hospitable. You feel at home instantly, and the breakfast and bar make it difficult to venture out. Very highly recommended.

“We all very much enjoyed our stay with you. The group were very complimentary about Mynd House. We’ve been meeting now for many years and have stayed in lots of B&B’s. All of us thought your’s is the best. We hope to return before too long.

"🏰✨ Dive into the heart of Shrewsbury's Castle Quarter – the epicenter of history and grandeur! 🏰 Home to four of the town's largest historic treasures – Shrewsbury Castle, Library, Prison, and Train Station.

Did you know Shrewsbury Castle's foundations were laid in 1083 by the 1st Earl of Shrewsbury, Roger de Montgomery?
Montgomery, a cousin of William the Conqueror, earned this castle and more as a thank-you for his aid during the Norman conquest.

From royal stronghold to a 16th-century transformation, Shrewsbury Castle has quite the story. Now, it stands majestically, housing the Shropshire Regimental Museum. 👑🏰 Ready to step into the pages of history?
