The award-winning Love2Stay resort on the outskirts of Shrewsbury is launching a new £1 million luxury glamping development today (Monday).

Resort owner, Salop Leisure, has invested in an exclusive collection of 11 new luxury Woodland lodges which join 11 existing safari lodges in a hugely popular glamping village.

Each of the new lodges has its own private hot tub, fire pit with grill plate and hammock, providing guests with even more choice for holiday lodge rental breaks in the stunning Shropshire countryside.

The Woodland lodges are top-of-the-range, sleep up to six people and come equipped with high range kitchens, sumptuous bedrooms and living areas. Towels and bedding are included with the hire and each lodge is individually styled.

When Covid-19 rules allow, guests staying in the lodges will have access to communal facilities including a sauna, hot tub and drench bucket.

Guests also have full access to an outdoor natural bio swimming pool, hot spring beach and a wide range of outdoor activities for all the family. The pet-friendly, self-catering lodges are deep cleaned with enhanced cleaning protocols.

Love2Stay resort, which celebrates its fourth birthday next month, comprises a glamping village, touring caravan park with 124 pitches and an adventure centre. Set in 22 acres of beautifully landscaped grounds, the resort has panoramic views across to Wales from one side and over to the Shropshire Hills from the other.

The brainchild of Salop Leisure’s managing director Mark Bebb, the resort has been designed to instill a feeling of well-being and tranquility in guests.

As daily lives are dominated by technology and children are easily glued to i-pads and the Internet, Love2stay has created an environment which is in harmony with nature where guests can, to use Mr Bebb’s words, “experience the grass between their toes”.

“We have been mindful when developing the resort that we needed to create an offering which appeals to a younger audience,” explained Mr Bebb. “Lots of the facilities we have incorporated are family orientated with healthy living and wellness at the core.

“Love2Stay is designed to offer the very best luxury break experience with our holiday lodge accommodation matching a five-star hotel. Whether it’s a romantic holiday or a family getaway, relaxing in a hot tub is the perfect way to end a busy day of exploring.

“There are so many opportunities onsite and off-site. Guests can discover Shrewsbury, Attingham Park and Ironbridge which are all nearby, challenge themselves with our adventurous onsite activities or just relax in an environment which is in harmony with nature.

“The days of roughing it on a campsite are over! Glamping ensures the best of both worlds as families can connect with nature and super-fast wi-fi at the same time. Families can spend their days pond dipping and enjoying activities and their evening cocooned in the warm water of a hot tub.”

"🏰✨ Dive into the heart of Shrewsbury's Castle Quarter – the epicenter of history and grandeur! 🏰 Home to four of the town's largest historic treasures – Shrewsbury Castle, Library, Prison, and Train Station.

Did you know Shrewsbury Castle's foundations were laid in 1083 by the 1st Earl of Shrewsbury, Roger de Montgomery?
Montgomery, a cousin of William the Conqueror, earned this castle and more as a thank-you for his aid during the Norman conquest.

From royal stronghold to a 16th-century transformation, Shrewsbury Castle has quite the story. Now, it stands majestically, housing the Shropshire Regimental Museum. 👑🏰 Ready to step into the pages of history?
