Saturday 3rd July – Sunday 26th September, weekends & August Bank Holiday Monday

The Shropshire Hills Shuttle Buses are back on the road this summer taking passengers onto the Long Mynd, and across to the Stiperstones, helping them to explore and enjoy this beautiful part of the Shropshire Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.

It’s a popular walking spot and the Shuttle timetable allow you to stroll along the top of the Long Mynd and pick up a return bus, or hike between the Mynd and Stiperstones National Nature Reserve (NNR) or walk the length of the Stiperstones ridge.  Refreshment stops include the Bog Mine and Visitor Centre, and outside the Stiperstones Inn and Bridges Country pub.

  • Tickets

Please purchase your ticket from the driver when boarding – the bus is cash and concessionary bus cards only.

We offer season tickets to buy in advance which will give you free travel on the Shuttle Buses this year.

Well-behaved dogs can travel with their owner at the driver’s discretion.

  • Supporting the Shuttles

Like most other rural bus services, the Shuttle Buses need financial support to keep them going. The simple thing you can do to support the service is to use it, share your experiences and encourage your friends and family on board.

You can also donate through our Shuttle Bus Supporter Schemehttps://www.shropshirehillsaonb.co.uk/a-special-place/shropshire-hills-aonb-trust/shuttle-bus-supporter-scheme

The Shuttles are managed by the Shropshire Hills AONB Partnership, with funding from Shropshire Council, Church Stretton Town Council and National Trust. Income from the car parks at Carding Mill Valley and Stiperstones NNR also helps to finance this service.

"🏰✨ Dive into the heart of Shrewsbury's Castle Quarter – the epicenter of history and grandeur! 🏰 Home to four of the town's largest historic treasures – Shrewsbury Castle, Library, Prison, and Train Station.

Did you know Shrewsbury Castle's foundations were laid in 1083 by the 1st Earl of Shrewsbury, Roger de Montgomery?
Montgomery, a cousin of William the Conqueror, earned this castle and more as a thank-you for his aid during the Norman conquest.

From royal stronghold to a 16th-century transformation, Shrewsbury Castle has quite the story. Now, it stands majestically, housing the Shropshire Regimental Museum. 👑🏰 Ready to step into the pages of history?
