Oswestry Tourist Information Centre

Visit Oswestry Town Tourist Information Centre at Castle View. The Town TIC is open 3 days each week, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday 10 to 3 pm.

You can ask our staff anything about Oswestry and The Welsh Borders and they will do their best to help you. They are real ambassadors for the town and have visited most of the attractions so can tell you much more than you would find any where else. You can pick up visitor leaflets, buy maps and local books and Oswestry souvenirs.

Enjoy finding more about local Oswestrians such as Wilfred Owen and St Oswald and enjoy exploring Oswestry Town.

The centre is a great starting place for your visit to Oswestry. The Horsemarket car park is 2 minutes walk away and there is disabled parking outside. Opposite is Castle Mound which gives great views over the town and the market and shopping streets are only a short walk.

"🏰✨ Dive into the heart of Shrewsbury's Castle Quarter – the epicenter of history and grandeur! 🏰 Home to four of the town's largest historic treasures – Shrewsbury Castle, Library, Prison, and Train Station.

Did you know Shrewsbury Castle's foundations were laid in 1083 by the 1st Earl of Shrewsbury, Roger de Montgomery?
Montgomery, a cousin of William the Conqueror, earned this castle and more as a thank-you for his aid during the Norman conquest.

From royal stronghold to a 16th-century transformation, Shrewsbury Castle has quite the story. Now, it stands majestically, housing the Shropshire Regimental Museum. 👑🏰 Ready to step into the pages of history?
