Wesley House

Wesley House is a grade 11 wonderful medieval home right in the heart of Shrewsbury town. Its ancient wood panelling and 16th century beams will transport you to a bygone time, and the cosy log burner beckons you to drift off to a time when life was simple and cares were few. The house is set on a cobbled street and the view from the living room is just the churchyard. This beautiful home sleeps four adults plus one child. On street level with no stairs it is perfect for those less mobile. This house boasts a wealth of history. John Wesley founder of the Methodist Church preached from here in 1761. In the kitchen remains the fantastic original cast iron range! She has a big brass double bed in the main bedroom, two single beds in the twin room and a small victorian single bed in the third bedroom off the living room, which is entered via the door in the wood panelling. I’ve listed this as a childs bedroom because if you’re taller than five foot two inches you won’t fit. The house was officially opened for business by the Mayor of Shrewsbury and the Town Crier.
Note: This property is all on ground floor level.

"🏰✨ Dive into the heart of Shrewsbury's Castle Quarter – the epicenter of history and grandeur! 🏰 Home to four of the town's largest historic treasures – Shrewsbury Castle, Library, Prison, and Train Station.

Did you know Shrewsbury Castle's foundations were laid in 1083 by the 1st Earl of Shrewsbury, Roger de Montgomery?
Montgomery, a cousin of William the Conqueror, earned this castle and more as a thank-you for his aid during the Norman conquest.

From royal stronghold to a 16th-century transformation, Shrewsbury Castle has quite the story. Now, it stands majestically, housing the Shropshire Regimental Museum. 👑🏰 Ready to step into the pages of history?
