Greenoak

If you are looking for a ‘home away from home’ in the heart of Shropshire, then you have come to the right place. Greenoak is a converted dairy barn, renovated during 2021 to provide a peaceful stay away in the Shropshire countryside. Our barn is perfect for couples who want to retreat and unwind amongst the best of the British Countryside. Highlights at Greenoak include your own private hot tub in the secret garden and a central double-sided log burner.

The space

Greenoak offers beautiful accommodation for 2 guests in a converted barn. The property comprises of an entrance room, wet-room style bathroom, open plan kitchen, diner and lounge, and a large bedroom. At the heart of the barn is a double-sided log burning stove which can be enjoyed from both the bedroom and main living area. At the back of the barn is your private enclosed secret garden complete with outside dining and a luxurious hot tub.

The barn sits in the grounds of the farmhouse and also offers access to a garden and pond area, a 2-acre dog exercise field (not 100% enclosed so lead-based exercise for the more adventurous of dogs!) and views of the beautiful Shropshire Hills.

"🏰✨ Dive into the heart of Shrewsbury's Castle Quarter – the epicenter of history and grandeur! 🏰 Home to four of the town's largest historic treasures – Shrewsbury Castle, Library, Prison, and Train Station.

Did you know Shrewsbury Castle's foundations were laid in 1083 by the 1st Earl of Shrewsbury, Roger de Montgomery?
Montgomery, a cousin of William the Conqueror, earned this castle and more as a thank-you for his aid during the Norman conquest.

From royal stronghold to a 16th-century transformation, Shrewsbury Castle has quite the story. Now, it stands majestically, housing the Shropshire Regimental Museum. 👑🏰 Ready to step into the pages of history?
