Apley Farm Shop's Pumpkin Patch

Apley Farm Shop’s Pumpkin patch is back this 2020 for a Covid-19 friendly, family day out.
The Spookley event runs 10-11, 17-18 & 24-31 October.

Come and join us on the Pumpkin Patch to pick your very own pumpkin to take home! Joining you down on the patch will be some funfair rides, our wonderful onsite photographer Steve and Mrs Pumpkin who can assist you with all your pumpkin needs!

Mrs Pumpkin and her friends will be in face shields, providing hand sanitiser to ensure the safety of all of the visitors.

Apley Farm Shop’s Pumpkin Patch will be open 9:30 am until 4 pm. Pre-booked tickets are £3 per person (£4 on the day); this includes entry to the patch and 1 pumpkin per person.

As you leave don’t forget to buy your very own copy of the book ‘Spookley the Square Pumpkin’ & even your own soft Spookley toy available in the Food Hall. The storybook carries a strong anti-bullying message, which is shared with school children across the country. We will even be selling some carving kits for you to take home with your Pumpkins.

The festival provides a great, non-scary family day out. It is perfect for all ages who are ready to get their wellies on & have some wholesome, earthy fun.

If you are peckish after all your Pumpkin Picking, why not visit our newly refurb café, The Apley Kitchen!
Open daily 9:30 am – 4.00 pm. Please note: we are currently NOT taking pre-bookings for the cafe on event days. We will be working on a first-come-first-served basis.

Our Catering Van will also be open in the courtyard for take away drinks and tasty treats.

Customers are encouraged to post photos of their fancy-dress outfits & carved pumpkins on the Apley Farm Shop Facebook page.

"🏰✨ Dive into the heart of Shrewsbury's Castle Quarter – the epicenter of history and grandeur! 🏰 Home to four of the town's largest historic treasures – Shrewsbury Castle, Library, Prison, and Train Station.

Did you know Shrewsbury Castle's foundations were laid in 1083 by the 1st Earl of Shrewsbury, Roger de Montgomery?
Montgomery, a cousin of William the Conqueror, earned this castle and more as a thank-you for his aid during the Norman conquest.

From royal stronghold to a 16th-century transformation, Shrewsbury Castle has quite the story. Now, it stands majestically, housing the Shropshire Regimental Museum. 👑🏰 Ready to step into the pages of history?
