Birmingham 2022 Queen's Baton Relay at the Severn Valley Railway

Want to be part of something special this year? The Severn Valley Railway will be kicking off its Summer of Sport with the momentous arrival of the Birmingham 2022 Queen’s Baton Relay and YOU can be there with us at our stations cheering it on!

Book your FREE place and arrive at 9am to see the baton arrive at Kidderminster Station and wave it off as it departs for the journey to Bridgnorth aboard No.70 Elizabeth II. Expect an incredible welcome on this once-in-a-lifetime occasion with entertainment on the concourse and platform before the special service continues the Queen’s Baton Relay journey aboard our purple engine at 10.07am.

Can’t make it to Kidderminster to see The Queen’s Baton Relay arrive? Why not head to one of our other stations?

Bewdley Station

  • No.70 Elizabeth II and the Queen’s Baton Relay will pass through Bewdley Station at 10.22am
  • Plenty of space on the platform to view the train pass through
  • Ample parking is available for £4 all day.

Arley Station

  • No.70 Elizabeth II and the Queen’s Baton Relay will pass through Arley Station at 10.37am
  • Plenty of space on the platform to see the train pass through
  • Parking available nearby next to the River Severn, a short walk from the station. There is no parking available at the station.

Highley Station

  • No. 70 Elizabeth II and the Queen’s Baton Relay will pass through Highley at 10.47am
  • Limited space opposite the station to view the train pass through
  • Parking available nearby at Severn Valley Country Park, a short walk from the station

Hampton Loade Station

  • No. 70 Elizabeth II and the Queen’s Baton Relay will pass through Hampton Loade at 11.00am
  • Plenty of space on the platforms to view the train pass through
  • Parking is not available at this station

Bridgnorth Station

  • No. 70 Elizabeth II and the Queen’s Baton Relay will arrive at Bridgnorth Station at 11.17am
  • Limited space on the platform to view the train arrive
  • Ample parking available for £4 all-day at the station (WV16 5DP)
