SM&AG Wildlife Photography Competition - LAST CALL for Entries!

Love nature? Enjoy talking photographs?
Then you’ve come to the right place. Our photography competition is open to everyone and is FREE to enter!
Inspired by the touring exhibition of Wildlife Photographer of the Year, developed by The Natural History Museum, London. We are inviting entries for a local competition based on the same brief:

“Images can capture any aspect of wildlife and the natural world, whether wild plants or animals or their natural environments, or illustrate our interaction with nature, good or bad.”
Tips to help you take the best photograph:Be curious – Be patient – Experiment – Communicate your story

Age ranges10 years & under / 11 – 14yrs / 15 – 17yrs / Adults
Winners photographs will be exhibited in the Shut and shared on our social media.
Entries closing date is Sunday 21 January 2024Winners will be announced on Monday 29th January 2024 by 5pm Entries will be judged by Terry Moore, a local nature and wildlife photographer and finalist and judges choice in the BBC Countryfile Calendar 2023 Photographic Competition.

How To Enter:  

  • Email your entries to [email protected]
  • Maximum file size 5MB
  • Minimum photo size 600×600 pixels in JPEG format.
  • Give each photo a title and a description. To help the judges understand the thoughts behind your photo.
  • Please include your name and age.

NB – we may contact winners to request larger files for printing purposes.
